Note to Shelters

We are here to help you get those fur babies adopted! We are a Recycled Pet Rescue and pet supply store that helps orphaned animals find homes in a retail setting. Although we are a strong supporter of the Bowling Green Warren Co Humane Society we are separate entity and we are a Kentucky, nonprofit, 501 (c) (3) animal welfare organization. We run strictly off donations from our supporters. All donations benefit the animals 100%. We rescue animals from shelters all over Kentucky but every so often we hear of a out of state shelter that needs our help, and we will jump at the opportunity. We will accept any animal so long as it does not require us to feed it another animal. Because of our extended hours and retail location, sometimes we are able to find adopters that wouldn't or couldn't go to shelters.

Our policy's.....

All animals even mice are adopted out after going thru a stern application process. We will check references, and with landlords to make sure that EVERY ANIMAL adopted from RePets goes to the best possible home. There is no exceptions! These animals are our babies while in our care, and we make promises to them to do everything we can to find them the BEST home for their needs.

Before a dogs goes up for adoptions we.....

Test for heartworm, All shots are brought up to date, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Monthly frontline, Monthly Heartworm preventive, 30 days of FREE vet insurance.

Before a Cats goes up for adoptions we.....

Testing for FIV/FELV All shots are brought up to date, Spay/neuter, Microchip, Monthly Frontline, 30 days of FREE vet insurance.

Before a Bunny goes up for adoption...

Spay/Neuter Any necessary vetting Foster care for neglected or abused rabbits to get them ready for adoption.

Before Small Critters goes home.....

ALL Females go in to foster care until we are sure they are not pregnant. Males go up for adoption right away assuming they are healthy and have not been neglected or abused. Any critter that comes in injured or in need of rehabilitating, that animal goes into foster care until ready for adoption.

We will take animals from the public. Before bringing your pet to RePets, Please call and let us know when, so we will have the appropriate cages set up. Its important that you bring proof of shots and any other vetting or medical needs we need to know about, also bring cages, toys, blankets, beds, and food your animal is used to so that we can help your pet make this transition smooth with his/her own things. Take the time to write down some things we should know about your pet so we can help your pet find the best home. Include likes, dislikes, tricks, schedules, and routines. Anything you can think of so we can to help potential adopters make the best decision.

Please consider making a donation when surrendering your animal. We do have the pet supply store that helps to fund our rescue, but its not enough. We need donations so if EVER an animal needs rescuing or vetting, we can afford to have any vetting done immediately and still be able to except animals from both the public and shelters.
