Cage Cleaners/Animal Attendant/Customer Service.
This Position is best suited for a person that loves animals and wants nothing more but for them to be safe, warm and happy. Most shifts are 7am-4pm Job Description: clean cages, feed/water animals, walk dogs, give meds, take animals to vet, wash dishes, trash removal, poop scoop yard, keep van sanitized, Keep back room organized, Keep donations organized, Make shelter runs, Inventory supplies, and Laundry.

Adoption Counselors/Sales
This Position is best suited for a detailed, focused and goal oriented people person. Shifts range from 7am-9pm
Job Description: Work with potential adopters, communicate with shelters and vets, make shelter runs to rescue animals, run the register, maintain all paperwork, keep cages on the show room floor clean, keep vaccines up to date, work with volunteers, respond to client and shelter emails, achieve sales goals, put out stock, keep sales floor neat, dusted, and organized.

RePets is a rescue that helps shelters find homes for orphaned animals. This is not a business or a job it is a rescue. Our mission is to save lives. There is a lot of volunteering hours involved. Taking care of up to 50 animals is HARD work and there is a lot of poo involved. We do offer a salary, but our budget only allows a minimal amount for some payroll. We do not do this to earn a living, we do this to help the animals. If your looking for a part time job just to fulfill the need to nurture or you have the desire to make a difference, we want to encourage you to apply. 100% of all processed go back into helping the animals. We do not profit in this store, unless you count the feeling you get when you help an animal find a home. That feeling is priceless.
We are not open on major holidays but we still have to take care of the animals, so do not apply if you need to travel during the holidays or want holidays off.
At this time the management position is filled.
Duties include arriving 2 hours before the shop opens and staying 1 hour late to volunteer to care for the animals. This includes, making shelter runs, cleaning cages, walking dogs, scooping litter boxes, bathing if needed and feeding.
"On the clock" begins when the shop opens, and ends when the shop closes. This may mean due to any situation you may be required to stay over past your scheduled time. Because animals don't understand schedules and we are working with rescued animals that may or may not be from a traumatizing back ground, we must have patients and understanding when they need us when they say so not when the clock says time to go home.
Shop Attendant means making sure ALL area of the shop is taken care of, both animals and supply store. Restocking, cleaning the store, keeping cages clean, and making sure the animals needs are met a major part of the job.
Sales clerk means that you have the ability to not only meet sales goals but understand our goal to educate the public but be able to effectively relay info that's does not offend people. You must have extensive knowledge in animal breeds, care, the importance of spaying/neutering, and other basic and extended animal care. If you cant sell our product we cant raise the money to stay open, so we are looking for out going people that can not only educate in a positive way, but sell the product so we can use the money to save more lives!
Training for animal care/paperwork is on average 2 weeks long with a minimum of 20 hours and maximum of 30 hours per week. Part of this time will be at the BGWC Humane Society, and the other at RePets. THIS TRAINING IS VOLUNTEER! This is a animal rescue and we have a tight budget, you must be willing to sacrifice to obtain this position.
We will not be open on holidays, but the animals will still need to be cared for. EVERY EMPLOYEE will be required to work on holidays. Just like you want to eat everyday, so do the animals.
This is a temporary position to be evaluated after 90 days for possible hire for full time. Starting Wage: $6.55 per hour possible raise after evaluation. Starting Hours: 20-30 hours - possible more after training. We give a raise according to how much money you are able to raise for the rescue.
